Stay SugarLand, the latest on the Sugarland production and crew that has been shooting in and around Sugarland since late 2017, has been a hit in Sugarland and surrounding areas.
It was the last film to shoot on location.
“We did all of the pre-production and pre-sales,” producer Adam Johnson said.
“Everything we’ve done has been geared toward the people who are actually going to live in the community, so we have all these opportunities to bring people into the film.”
The movie’s story is centered around Sugar Land’s small community of people and the people that live there.
It follows the Sugar Land families that live in their home community.
“People will see this as a family film and they will have to have a good time and have a great time and they are going to be able to share their story, their story and the community,” Johnson said of staying true to the characters and culture that makes Sugarland so special.
“If you don’t have the right family to play in this, you’re not going to have that movie.”
Stay SugarLAND is set to premiere in theaters on July 12.
